If you are a fan of the slow burn romance, and love living the journey of two people finding each other do not miss any Mariana Zapata books. I relived my own memories while reading this and it made it extra special for me. Though I scared the living daylights out of him when I picked him up from the airport that first time and the car broke down in the highway, middle of nowhere, well after midnight and I turned around and said "Well, if I was gonna kill you this would be the perfect time", cue evil laughter. Luckily for both of us, neither turned out to be an axe murderer. Especially that fear before you meet and think that you may be falling in love with a serial killer. This book will remain close to my heart as it reminded me in many parts of how me and my hubby got together. Do NOT read the spoiler if you have not read the book.
I want to know everything that came after. So when it comes to the epilogue of a slow burn I need it to be spectacular. We spend most of the book reading about how they are getting closer, building foundations, connections, friendship and ultimately love.
It's not that the epilogue we got was bad, I just simply wanted more. This book definitely gave The Wall of Winnipeg a run for it's money! And it came close! The only complain I have and why I didn't give it the full five stars is because I wanted a longer epilogue. I love you! I love you so much I could burst!
